This Heavy Boy truck model comes in wooden sheets, pre-cut for the parts. You won’t need any glue or fancy tools, just fit the parts together. It could take you up to 9 hours to piece it all together, but you’ll have an incredibly impressive 1:24 scale model to show for it. Wind the finished product up to send it forward, backwards, or put it in idle to watch the gears work.

 

You’ll even find a mini shovel and gas can in the back, with a cosy sleep kit for weary travellers. The kit has 541 parts, so you’ll need good focus and patience for this hobby. But it’ll be worth it!
